Greg Johnson is a research associate in the data and information analysis division of the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) at the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include large-data scientific visualization and large-scale nonlinear optimization. Greg is the lead developer of the Longhorn Visualization Portal, a web-based interface to TACC's Longhorn visualization and data analysis cluster. Greg also leads the development of EnVision, a web-based tool for remote visualization. Greg has actively worked with users on projects related to hurricane and weather visualization, epidemic visualization, and fluid flow visualization. Greg received an M.S.E. in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007.
